RESPONSIBILITIES:
To produce program code written in ‘C’ with Embedded SQL to certain standards within given timescales
To write all SQL to Open SQL standards
To create unit test data, unit test plans to standards
Document unit test results to standards
To produce program specifications to specific standards
Liaise with the testing teams on queries and test failures and to provide fixes to the testing team within specified deadlines
Provide reporting on progress to the Northern Delivery Manager or subordinate
MANDATORY SKILLS (essential):
Excellent ‘C’ with Embedded SQL Skills (must be combined)
Excellent knowledge of the Unix Operating Environment
Excellent knowledge of Ingres Relational Databases
Knowledge of ISQL, QBF
Ability to create simple shell scripts
